    Please join the Hindu Temple of Ottawa-Carleton every first Sunday and the Vishava Shakti Durga Mandir every second Sunday for Amrit Vani.


    In response to the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus, Government have closed all public schools. Many sport activities (Basket ball, NHL) and public gathering have also been cancelled.

    Dear Devotees,

    Sri Hanuman Jayanti will be celebrated on Saturday 16th of May from 11 am to noon through Live Broadcast. The celebration will include chanting Hanuman Chalisa 3 times, reciting NAMARAMAYANAM, chanting Ashtottaram and performing Arati.
    If needed, the Namaramayanam in various languages can be accessed at Google search.

    Devotees can participate in Rudram chanting every Sunday morning at 8 am by joining Live Broadcast from the Temple.  Link to join Live Broadcast from the Temple is available on the temple website www.hindutemple.ca.


    Pranayam classes are now held on-line from 9:45 am to 11:15 am every Sunday. If you wish to participate, please send an email to hindutempleottawa@gmail.com to get login details.


    e-pooja is available for all services provided by the Temple. Please call the Temple to book a time and get further information.

  10. Here is an important announcement for you all\:

    The Indo-Canadian Community Centre would once again like to congratulate and thank all those who have generously:

    Donated over $62,000 to date for its “ICCC COVID-19 RELIEF FUND” for the four charities namely:

    1.       The Ottawa Hospital,

    2.       Shepherds of Good Hope,

    3.       Ottawa Food Bank and

    4.       The Ottawa Mission,                      and


    Provided several “in-kind” contributions, which include:

    * Stitching of over 1500 face masks and gowns for front line workers and ICCC Seniors

    *Over 350 meals (lunches or dinner -Indian cuisine) for frontline medical staff of the 5 Ottawa Hospitals (Civics, General Riverside, Montfort and Queensway –Carleton Hospitals) during the past 4 weeks.

    * Aid and support to Indian students in dire need

    * Yoga and Pranayama classes to protect from Covid 19 virus,

    * Volunteer services for various Hospitals and Covid Assessment Centres


    *ICCC Seniors Virtual Zoom meetings, in a very social and informative setting, are now attended by More than 80 seniors every Thursday (2:00-3:30 p.m. and Friday (10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon). There is Yoga session, talks by invited guests and socializing by seniors by way of singing songs and Bhajans, jokes and anecdotes.

    ICCC Seniors Brain Health program meeting are held every Monday (10a.m.-12 noon). Activities include: Light exercises, brain games, art and cultural programs, etc. to keep seniors and their brains active.


    ICCC encourages other seniors to join in to relieve from isolation boredom and loneliness.


    EKAL Vidyalaya: ICCC has also donated $25,500 to EKAL Vidyalaya to fund 4 life time schools for children, as well as for anemia treatment for 400 women under “Arogya Program” in Kerala.

    The community has shown that we can all be of great support to one another during these challenging times.



    Therefore, as always, ICCC would gladly work in cooperation and collaboration with Indo-Canadian organizations, individuals and others in the community for Fund-raising and COVID-19 pandemic support initiatives

    At ICCC, we are very much aware that “Giving Back to the Community” is a cherished value of our rich Indian heritage. We are thankful to all and look forward to continuing an ongoing fund-raising effort to support various causes.

  13. MUKUL HINDI SCHOOL offers Hindi language instructions and rich cultural experience for children 4 years and above. Elementary (Grades JK,SK,1to8) at PINECREST PUBLIC SCHOOL @ 1281 Pinecrest Road and High School Credit Course & Adult Education at GLEBE COLLEGIATE on 212 Glebe Avenue.   14. SARAL SCHOOL, a non-profit charitable organization run under the Ministry of Education, offers classes to learn Hindi, Bengali or Telugu for free.
