The Indo-Canadian Community Centre would like to congratulate and thank all those who have generously:
Donated over $60,000 to date for its “ICCC COVID-19 RELIEF FUND” for the four charities namely:
A. The Ottawa Hospital,
B. Shepherds of Good Hope,
C. Ottawa Food Bank and
D. The Ottawa Mission,
Provided several “in-kind” contributions, which include:
* stitching of over 1200 face masks-
* Indian cuisine for front line medical staff of the Ottawa Hospitals
* aid and support to Indian students having particular needs
* Yoga and Pranayama classes to protect from Covid 19 virus, and
* Support for seniors
ICCC Seniors Virtual Zoom meetings are attended by the regular participants at the Orleans and Merrivale group locations. More than 60 seniors join these virtual gatherings every week.
ICCC encourages all seniors to join also to reduce isolation and loneliness.
GREAT THINGS HAPPEN WHEN WE ALL WORK TOGETHER.
Therefore, as always, ICCC would gladly work in cooperation and collaboration with Indo-Canadian organizations, individuals and others in the community for Fund-raising and COVID-19 pandemic support initiatives
The community has shown that we can all be of great support to one another during these challenging times.
