NOTICE OF ELECTION:
The election to Board member positions listed below will take place on Sunday April 15th, 2018 at 2.00 PM at the Vishva Shakti Durga Mandir. Proxy Registration starts same day at 11.30 AM and ends at 1:00 PM.
A Nomination Committee has been formed per Vishva Shakti Durga Mandir Association Constitution. Nomination Committee function is to verify the eligibility of the candidates and conduct the election by following the VSDMA constitution.
THE NOMINATION COMMITTEE IS SOLICITING NOMINATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS FOR A TERM OF ONE/TWO YEARS:
2. Treasurer (TWO YEARS)
3. Public Relation Officer (TWO YEARS)
4. Assistant Treasurer (TWO YEARS)
5. Assistant Secretary (TWO YEARS)
6. Member at Large - 3 Positions (ONE YEAR)
Voting at the General Body meeting will be restricted to Life members and Annual members who have renewed their membership for the current year (January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018) and are in good standing. To be in good standing as member, a person shall be a Life member or have been a paid up member for a period of minimum one (1) month prior to the election date.
If you are not a member or have not renewed annual membership for 2018, you are requested and encouraged to become a member at least one month prior to the date of election.
Membership fees are:
Eligible members must fill out and submit their nomination form(s) by no later than Sunday April 8th, 2018 to the Nomination Committee to indicate their intention to run for any one of the Board positions noted above. The Nomination Committee will review these forms in accordance with the required verification process and display the candidate list at the Vishva Shakti Durga Mandir Association by no later than April 12th, 2018.

pleased to announce first big event of 2018. We have decided to
have "Seniors Family Day" for all our seniors. The details of
this event are as follows:
Event: Seniors Family Day.
Date: Friday 16th February, 2018
Time: 4.30 pm to 8.00 pm.
Venue: Palki Restaurant,1060 Ogilvie Rd. Gloucester, ON, K1J 7P8.
Cost: $20.00 (subsidized) per person for all seniors registered in our seniors directory.*
As always, in this event there will be invited artists, besides our own members, for rendition of songs, poems and ghazals. You will have a chance to dance to the thrilling music. We have planned to serve snacks on arrival and dinner later. As it has now become a common practise with us, we will have raffle draw with attractive prizes.

ICCC has set up four scholarships for undergraduate students currently enrolled in the University of Ottawa, Carleton, St. Paul and Algonquin College in Ottawa.
