    Cholesterol, in its various forms, is considered to be a risk for many health problems especially heart attack and stroke. We begin our health seminars for 2018 with an overview of this subject on January 14, 2018, with the following details.

    The Temple will be celebrating India’s popular winter harvest festival “LOHRI and PONGAL”, on this coming Sunday, January 14th, after the Arati. Bal Mandir children and their parents will greet and accompany devotees to the Geeta Bhawan, where there will be a symbolic fire ceremony.


    Traditional sesame seed coated sweets will be distributed near the Entrance Door prior to the departure.

  6. ARYA SAMAJ Ottawa-Carleton holds HAVAN every 2nd Sunday of the month from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Hindu Temple. All are welcome.  

    Like last year, Arya Samaj  Ottawa Is inviting you all, with families, friends and children to come and celebrate New Year in the Hindu Temple from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, January 14th, 2018.

  7. The Hindu Temple of Ottawa-Carleton on 4835 Bank Street is happy to announce that the Bal Mandir Program has once again started. It is held every Sunday from 12:10 PM to 1:00 PM in the lower meeting room. The program consists of a variety of exciting activities for children, including reflection on upcoming festivals and events in the Hindu calendar, discussions on cultural aspects of Indian culture, stories, crafts, and more. Everyone is welcome.

Sadhu Rama Caitanya from Sri Kailash Ashram in Rishikesh be giving a talk on 'Introduction to Self-Knowledge and Vedanta' next Saturday, 13th of January from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the Boardroom at Emerald Plaza Library, located at 1547 Merivale (between Baseline and Meadowlands), Ottawa and on Saturday, 20th of January in the meeting room of Carlingwood Public Library located at 281 Woodroffe (near Carling Ave) in Ottawa.   9. The High Commission of India will be celebrating the 69th Republic Day of India, on Friday, 26th of January 2018, at 10 Springfield Road, Ottawa. The Flag hoisting ceremony will take place at 10:00 AM sharp. Rendition of National Anthem and reading of President of India’s address to the nation will be followed by a short program of patriotic songs. ICA, India Canada Association in collaboration with High Commission of India, Ottawa and coalition of other associations, will be celebrating Republic Day of India on Jan, 29th from 6:00 PM 9:00 PM at Sir John A.
