    Ø A series of seminars on health related issues every second Sunday of the month from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

    Dementia is now the 3rd most common chronic disease (after cancer and cardiovascular disease). Danger of its occurrence rises as one get older. Our next health seminar is on this topic. Everybody is welcome. The details are given below.

  6. The Hindu Temple of Ottawa-Carleton on 4835 Bank Street is happy to announce that the Bal Mandir Program has once again started. It is held every Sunday from 12:10 PM to 1:00 PM in the lower meeting room. The program consists of a variety of exciting activities for children, including reflection on upcoming festivals and events in the Hindu calendar, discussions on cultural aspects of Indian culture, stories, crafts, and more. Everyone is welcome.

  8. The Mahatma Gandhi Peace Council of Ottawa is hosting a panel discussion on " Mahatma Gandhi Today: In India and the World" on Friday, June 23rd in Room 303, Paterson Hall of Carleton University from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. The panel discussion will be followed by a reception. The panel is comprised of 8 leading Gandhi scholars, who are visiting from India. The group consists of activists, academics, writers, and researchers. The discussions will be moderated by Prof. Noel Salmond. The parking lot on Carleton Campus nearest to Paterson Hall is P1.   9. MSMF Picnic, a fun-filled day to help the needy in rural India will be held on Saturday, June 24th from 11:30 AM onwards at Andrew Haydon Park in Ottawa.   12. Indo - Canadian community Center(ICCC)  has job opportunities for 3 students during the Summer starting  near the end of May this year and lasting for 12 weeks. In order to qualify you must be a full time student between the ages 15 to 30 years and you will be returning to school in September 2017 on a full time basis
